Every Body Is Magic
It started as an idea in 2022, when we looked around and realized that our local community was lacking in places where women, queer folks, fat folks, and disabled folks could feel comfortable shopping for sex toys and other erotic items. For as long as it has been around, the adult retail industry has centered straight, cis, able-bodied folks, leaving other communities in the margins.
Body Magic aims to change that. By building an education-forward, sexual health brand, we hope to center marginalized folks and give them the knowledge, support, and pleasure they deserve. Book a private party with us with customized topics, or join us at one of our upcoming educational seminars! We look forward to building a safe, welcoming community in NE Kentucky and beyond!
Desiré
She/Her/Hers
Originally hailing from a small town in northeast Alabama, Desiré moved to the Louisville area to pursue her degree in Diagnostic Cardiac Medical Sonography, eventually settling in the Tri-State area in 2010. She is a passionate advocate for all marginalized groups, and their intersectionalities; and as a queer woman, she generally combats negative attitudes towards the LGBTQIA+ community by living her life authentically in the face of otherness.
Desiré has always held a strong interest in embracing progressive sexual education, and furthering her own knowledge spanning a variety of topics. She enjoys learning about and sharing subjects around counterculture topics; including, ethical/consensual non-monogamy, sexual health, sexual positivity, and more. Being a strong believer in combating misinformation and breaking down societal norms, She hopes to help encourage discussions about sex more common in everyone's life. Desiré is excited to bring education, resources, and products to the area.
Holly
She/Her/Hers
Holly is a transplant to the tri-state from southern California where she worked for about 8 years in the adult retail industry. She is a community organizer and fights for equity and intersectionality. Holly works with multiple local non-profits that center marginalized communities. She has specialized training in multiple topics including kink, anal stimulation, and sensation play.
Holly looks forward to providing sexual health products and support for members of marginalized communities who are often overlooked in this industry. She is working on research and product knowledge to help folks who are disabled, fat, gender nonconforming, and recovering from trauma. She hopes that Body Magic can be a source of support, knowledge, and joy for her community.
